This award recognises the contribution of an organisation or group that has made a signification contribution to the arts and cultural life of South Australia during a period of more than five years.
It can include long-term projects, ongoing festivals and events and cultural institutions. |
THE AWARDS ARE OPEN TO:
- private enterprise
- professional organisations
- statutory authorities
- not-for-profit organisations or groups
- volunteer organisations or group
- amateur companies.
Nominations from the film sector, State and local government and regional organisations are encouraged. |
Before nominating for this award, please read the following
important information
All previous applicants are encouraged to re-apply. Previous shortlisted nominees and winners can re-nominate in this category.
Nominations can be made in more than one category, but separate nominations must be submitted.
Nominees must have demonstrated credibility through a body of work, creative originality, professionalism or leadership.
Nominees must reside in South Australia, or if living elsewhere, have been a resident during a period of major professional achievement or development.
All nominees are required to be available for a range of promotional activities including media interviews and attendance at the presentation event.
By entering the Ruby Awards you are conferring on Arts SA the right to use your application material for awards-related promotional purposes including display and publicity. Nominees may be contacted in July to arrange a photo-shoot. These images will be used for audiovisual presentation at the awards event.
Where appropriate winners are requested to display the Ruby 2011 logo on promotional material.
The Ruby Awards judges reserve the right to move a nomination into another category if deemed more appropriate and at their discretion, to nominate additional people for consideration in the Premier's Lifetime Achievement Award.
The judges' decision is final and no further discussion will be entered into. Arts SA will not provide feedback to unsuccessful nominations.
Support material will be returned on request.
The 2011 short list will be announced in The Advertiser on Saturday 20 August 2011.
Invitations will be issued to all finalists to attend the presentation event on Friday 9 September 2011 in the Banquet Room, Adelaide Festival Theatre. Each finalist will be entitled to two complimentary tickets.
